How would you feel, if your bank gives you following free of cost:
# Tickets for a live concert of renowned singers like Abhijeet - for the entire family - free!!! - **We all enjoyed it at Bandra Kurla Complex in Mumbai
# A personal banker who takes care of all your banking needs on just a phone bank - just call him instead of customer care and all your job is done, no need to go to bank, no need to log on net, no need to wait on long queues on phone.
Normally I dont write good about any bank but the priority banking service of Axis Bank has forced to write one. Whats the Difference?
As the saying goes, successful people do not do different things, they do the things differently. This is what I have experienced with Axis bank, when I was an ordinary customer 3 years back and when I am experiencing their priority banking services for about an year
Everything is just similar to other banks here. The AQB (average quarterly balance) requirement, the FD rates, the account opening procedures, the long queues on teller counters, phone banking but what makes the difference is the quality of service amongst all these.......
Lets Have Like to Like Comparison
PROS
*# AQB Requirement for saving account - other banks & Axis Bank - no difference
# AQB requirement for priority banking acount - other banks ~ very high.......Axis bank ~ low
# Offers on priority banking - other banks ~ hardly of any use **Axis bank - a silver spoon and live concert tickets ~ certainly very useful
# FD rates - almost same as other banks - sometimes higher, sometimes lower than other banks
# Customer service: Better hospitality and attentiveness than other banks
# Internet banking - as good as other banks - however some of the banks are pathetic in this
# No. of branches and ATMs - too many - same as other banks
# Phone banking - never used, so cannot comment
# Personal banker - quite efficient at Axis, better than other banks - the guy actually SMSed me the phone numbers of the person to contact in his absence when he resigned and left the bank
CONS
# Net banking security - they are yet to start using virtual key pad concept wherein you dont have to type your password - is being used on HDFC and ICICI web sites. Also there are no restrictions on type of password
# Long queues at teller counter - that is there in all the banks
# Parking problem at the branches - valid for most of the banks
As per the thumb rule, one should always keep the money where one get maximum returns. So cannot recommend Axis bank for your FDs but if you need quality service. I feel this is the place to bank for.
