AXIS ASAP account means All Silly Account Policy

Seriously the meaning of ASAP must be "All Silly Account Policy" about which even AXIS employee, Branch staff etc dont know.


My wife opened an account in AXIS in December 2017 using her Adhar Card and Pan Card the process was easy with few verifications and OTPs. Account opened, but later she was not able to access it just a day or two later. Customer Care were reached and they told the PAN and Adhar card details are not matching and hence the Account is suspended, and the nearest branch must be reached.


We went to the Axis branch at deverachikkanahalli bangalore. they told that PAN no. is not matching and also showed me on the system and yes it was some other pan no. updated, GOD knows how, but the solution to this was given by branch staff to submit a copy of adhar and Pan again and the issue was supposed to be closed.


THE ACCOUNT NEVER GOT ACTIVATED AND WE VISITED THE BRANCH 6 TO 7 TIMES IN 6 MONTHS LIKE "TARIKH PE TARIKH".


Today I got frustrated and asked to meet the manager as now the account has been closed with no intimation and says in the reason closed as per CUSTOMER REQUEST.


When I asked branch staff the reason there were not sure and said due to some internal policy which is not clear, then they told due to negative listing that means someone in the same name must be defaulter in any other bank and hence digital account cant be opened. Great what a silly reason and a silly policy where customer dont have right to know the exact reason only.


I called customer care who told that there might be one of the three reasons for account closure-


1- adhar-pan data mismatch(ruled out as She has HDFC account running with both PAN and ADHAR UPDATED)




  1. ADHAR no has been linked with other digital account(ruled out as there is no such account)




  2. document not clear(if so why cant the customer is being given a chance to apply again or verify details, also I see the submitted scans of docs pretty clear hence this is also ruled out.)






May be I know the reason of rejection- lazyness of bank staff, system malfunction or pathetic policy. No ASAP ADs should be allowed for them boasting about their worst product- ASAP account.
