I read a lot & during my free time prefer spending time at crossword. Been a member of crossword for quite sometime now.
I had noticed the Axis books store from outside. Its right across where I live but never got down to entering it.
Somehow I was under the impression that crossword was the best place & would have all that I want. Also they keep telling me about thedial a book service of theirs where members have the privilidge of getting a book delivered right at their doorstep for no additional cost. All quite impressive.
And then came a time when i desperately needed a book & crossword did not have it. I immediately tried the dial a book service & the customer service person told me that the copies were out of stock & if she placed an order with the suppliers I would get the book in a weeks time. one week of response time from a trusted book store! I was extremely disappointed. Anyways, I asked the customer service person to contact the suppliers & let me know.
Post that it occured to me to try Axis. Reluctantly I entered the store. The magazine section caught my attention immediately. They have a whole range of magazines from fitness to retail to fashion. Also all sorts of stationary items( if you are a stationary items freak like me then u need to visit this store)
I checked for the book that I needed & as I suspected they too didnt have it. However, they askd me to write the name of the book & my contact no. so they could get the book for me. I had no hopes but still gave them the details.
The very next day I got a call from the store mgr telling me that the book was ordered & I could pick it up in the evening. One days response time. This is called good customer service. Axis has won a customer for sure. And not only that but also achieved good word of mouth publicity for itself. I have recommended the store to atleast 15 ppl in past 2 days. And now writting this positive review of the store.
And before I forget to mention I am yet to hear from the customer service executive fromDial a book.
