Ayesha Takia made her debut performance opposite Vatsal Seth in an extremely forgettable film called Tarzan – The Wonder Car. The actresss had the spunk and energy but her talent was untapped due to a poor role. Then came Dil Maange More.....again a poor role was what Ayesha got from the script.
And then came the wonderful **Socha Na Tha**.....a simple love story with really lovely performaces from both leads. Ayesha Takia played the girl-next-door to near perfection. It was a treat watching her as she overhsadowed Abhay Deol and Apurva Jha.
Then came a string of meaningless tiny roles in Shaadi No.1, Home Delivery and Yun Hota Toh Kya Hota. And then again....worth the wait....a film called **Dor by Nagesh Kukunoor **of Iqbal fame...
Ayesha sans make up got into the skin of Meera and delivered a knock-out performance(even Gul Panag was damn good BTW).
And now recently I saw Salaam-e-Ishq.....where yet another time she’s got a very tiny role that barely taps her potential. Its sad to see such a talented actress signing up multi-starrers........she’d rather do solo roles and win much more accolades as a character actress apart from her good looks and slim figure for which she’s already much talked about.
