Honestly, while reading the review of everyone, I was like, damn, Baabul is a bad film! Yet, being a huge fan of Big B and Salman Khan, I was like WTH let me go and see it!
And let me tell you, Baabul isn’t a disappointment what most people claim it to be! Agree that Baabul has an outdated script and it’s slow at times, but, yet it delivers the message in a convincing manner. Plus, backed up by strong performances and strong direction by Ravi Chopra, this movie deserve better at the box-office!
We all know the story, so I won’t say much about it!
Music is quite pleasant, as its soothing. The best songs are Baawri Piya, Babasi Dard Ka, and Come On!
Performances are strong here! The performances that stand-out are Big B, Rani and Salman!
Big B is simply great, esp in the climax!
Rani has done well, but yes, her crying is quite irritating at times!
Surprise surprise, Salman has done very well in the film. Whether it’s his scenes withhis child, or with Big B, he manages to leave a mark!
Hemaji has done okay, but she even admits, the reason she did the film was for the Baghban team!
John was also okay, he needs to improve much better!
There are some scenes that strike a chord and should leave the weak in tears!
Overall, Baabul deserve to seen once at the BO, it isn’t bad that people claim it to be! To be honest, I rather watch this film twice rather to see Dum 2, atleast Baabul is told in a convincing matter. Dum 2 is all about stupid and illogical stunts, and there was no reasonable stunt in that film. I can’t believe that Baabul hasn’t take a strong opening, especially when this film is a true family film!
Hope the collections pick up!
