Is Badshah what we expect of the King Khan .... ??
I know we have seen a lot better movies before and after badshah... but badshah ... ?? ...i was surprised it actually did earn something though it was not a hit.
Everything from the dialogues to the story line up and the plot were a sad copy of a couple of movies.
We cannot expect every Bollywood movie to be 100% original ... besides Abbas Mustan has a nack for copying western action sequences ... but making the whole movie by breaking up 3-4 English movies sounds absolutely ridiculous.
The style was copied from James Bond movies ...not any one in particular but just the look of it ...any movie from 007 is good enough.
The story line was copied from 2 movies.... ’’Nick of Time’’ ... in which starred Johnnie Depp ...where his daughter was kidnapped and was asked to kill the lady who was running for some high political post ...maybe mayor ... dont remember. At the end it was found out that her husband was the real culprit... and all the security personnels were involved ... when her secretary comes to know about it ...her husband kills her too. ..... I mean every Darn thing was copied.....
At the end the climax was copied from ’’Rush Hour ’’where there was this bomb scare and the little kid was set up with a time bomb ...
Even the song sequence which comes in after Badshah tries to escape from a Casino after getting the diamond necklace and gets surrounded by police was copied from ’’ The Mask ’’.... where the maks ( jim carrey) manages to escape after he starts singing a song and all the police get intoxicated by the song and his magic powers .... but in this copied version ...what power does badshah have ... ??
I think it was actually a pathetic attempt to get away with creating a movie by breaking and making 3-4 movies and hoping the ’’indian audience would be too stupid to understand ’’.
The indian audience just do not seem to mind if the whole thing is copied .... from 1 or more english movies... SRK running around trees is good enough ... I mean grow up people... Shahrukh is a good actor ... no doubts .... but you have to see what movie it is ... just because he is in the movie doesn’t make it good ....
If it were Hollywood ... the director would be so type cast that the audience will think 5 times before watching his next movie .. but in India.. people do not seem to mind... its ok .. no big deal.. its copied .. so what ?? ... there is SRK ..and Johnnie Lever ... good enough for us ..!!
