Baaghi borrows the main plot from Telugu hit Varsham and garnishes it with Karate Kid and a dash of Okkadu. The director ropes in the ancient martial art form Kalaripayattu and weaves a simple story around it. The bonding between the teacher and student, the scratching-the-surface love story of a boyish rebel and a girlish rain lover, and a locking horns stuff of hero and villain.
That’s a typical commercial milieu and Baaghi tries hard to breathe here.
