Yawn! Baba was boredom!

I cant believe I paid 10 sing dollars for this film. Firstly, I went for this film with my entire family ( so we’d wasted about 50 bucks) because of the amount of publicity created for this film. Since Rajini’s padaiyappa had been somewhat bearable, I decided to see what rajini was up to this time. But to my shock, the movie was certainly unbearable and Rajini looked about 80 in this film. And before you guys start throwing your cheppals at me, I must tell you the real unbearable parts of the movie.

Rajini is somewat like a god’s child or something but he doesnt know that. But he drinks, smokes and doesnt believe in god. And he somehow gets granted a few wishes... and crazy stuff happen... ok dont think I slept through the movie but this is the gist of the movie. and most importantly it’s not very easy to sleep in the theatre with Indian nationals whistling and fellow computer engineers from India coming to the movie late or should I say at Indian timing.

A japanese lady appears in the movie ( I think as rajini’s adopted sister or something) but she has no significant role whatsoever in the movie . except she speaks not-so-eloquent Tamil and her husband chokes on Indian food at their wedding which was rather comical and not depressing. Manisha koirala is rather oppressed and down trodden in the movie and seems as if she has to beg good old rajini to fall in love with her. She only appears for a few scenes and it might have been better if she had not even appeared at all.

The last scene was the stupidest. A politician gets shot but nobody gives a damn. Everybody hails and praises king rajini! I dont even see the point of the movie and I demand my money back. I could have watched a sensible kamal hassan film.
