Bachchans’ Dhaba is a very popular restaurant in the souther part of the city Kolkata. I am sharing some good memories in that restaurant so that viewers get an idea of good dining place after a hang out in the city.
It was during the Durga Puja last year, me and my peers in a group of 5 were really tired after late night pandal hopping on the Mahashasti and hunger made us more pathetic. We decided to dine outside because we thought dining going back to home would be more tiresome. But as it was late night we were really worried for getting any good restaurants available and at the same time we had very limited money to spend.
We eventually decided to go to this Bachchan Dhaba as we heard they offer food at reasonable price.
The restaurant is two storied. The upper storey is air-conditioned while the ground floor is not. The most stricking feature is that there is no extra charge for the AC counterpart which will save you a pinch in your pocket.
Bachchans’ Dhaba is easy to find as it is located just a 1 minute walk from the Kalighat metro station.
Talking about food and presentation, they offer quite a variety of Indian food. As the name suggests, Punjabi food is the basic item here but Bengali and Hyderabadi dishes are also available and equally delicious. Presentation is quite attractive and behaviour of the stiffs are very pleasant.
The ambience is really nice. The interior decorations are pleasant. Overall you will feel to be in your own home.
Customer service is excellent here. They also provide home delivery free of charge or you can simply buy food and take it to your home.
Bachchan Dhaba is very much affordable to dine out and it is definitely much cheaper than other restaurants in Kolkata. It is ideal to give treat to your friends with your pocket money.
The quality of food they provide in a reasonable price through the year irrespective of any festive season is spectacular. I have dined out at many restaurants in Kolkata during festives but I would definitely say Bachchan Dhaba’s food quality doesnot degrade unlike the others.
