Overview Ok I have to say this. From the promos, my expectations from this movie were high. So I cautiously watched but was prepared for disappointment.
But as the movie progressed, it slowly but surely went to a level of acceptance and finally I have to say this movie is worth a movie ticket and your time. I will break down my movie review in the following categories

Storyline
Its the story of this super cool dude Raj Sharma (Ranbir Kapoor) who has a way with girls. The movie starts in Switzerland where Raj, his friend Sachin(Hiten Paintal) and other 2 friends are on a vacation in Europe in the Euro rail train. Raj bumps into Mahi(Minnisha Lamba), manages to charm her, sing song on a scooter ride, eat swiss chocolates and then dump her. Then the movie fast forwards 6 years where Raj is now working in mumbai, now has his own place. One fine morning, he is disturbed by the dance music in another flat. Picks a fight across the wall and then goes to her flat. Finds out its Radhika(Bipasha Basu). Seeing how she is, he changes tracks and charms her with forgiveness. Slowly they get close, unite their flat and have a live in relationship. Obviously our guy is not the kind for committment. His chance comes when he is chosen to go to Sydney for official purpose. After few unsuccessful attempts, he finally manages to leave Radhika outside the courtroom in tears in bridal attire. Now its Sydney. He bumps into this ultimate feminist Gayatri (Deepika Padukone) who drives a cab during nite, works in a store during the day and attends B-school in the evening. She impresses him with her strong sense of independence and confidence that she does not need a man in her life. He wooes her, charms her and after a little interlude around Italy, goes down on his knees and proposes. And he is rejected. Now Raj realizes what he has done to Mahi and Radhika. He realizes till he does not get their forgiveness he cannot move on. How he traces them and tries to beg forgiveness for his wrong doings is the rest of the movie.
Well 2 affairs, 2 heartbreaks, 1 love, heartbreak, remorse, forgiveness. A little different treatment
on how relationships are looked upon in todays world. What I really liked was the motto "What goes around comes around". yes, you dont feel the pain when you go through it especially when you get dumped after you are the one who does the dumping. Could have been handled better, but kudos to the director for making an effort.
*Scenes
*To me, its the scenes and the situations which make the impact on you while you watch the movie. My favorite
scenes
-Raj and Mahi outside the Swiss chocolate shop tasting chocolates for free.
-Raj charming his way into Mahis heart with a poem
-Mahis heartbreak at the Swiss airport. This scene will make your heart go out to Mahi.
-Rajs introduction to Radhika first time. Very cool.
-Rajs trying to work his way out out of Radhika using all possible lies with help of his buddy Sachin
-Radhika in the rain outside the marriage court in tears realizing she has been ditched.
-Gayatri refusing Rajs proposal.
-Rajs remorse and guilt emerging in the form of Mahi and Radhika
-Raj confessing to his friend Sachin how it feels when you get what you have been giving and how he wants to apologize to Mahi and Radhika. Some sincerity of repentance here.
-Mahis husband Jogi punching the lights out of Raj verbally and physically. After all, he is paying for the heartbreak Raj caused Mahi many years ago. Mahi is no longer the girl who beleived in love anymore.
-Raj asking Mahi for forgiveness and making her realize that she should reciproacte her husbands love. your heart will once again go out to Mahi here.
-Radhikas tranformed devil wear prada avatar. Fires her PA as she forgets to put the water inside her hotel room.
-Raj going to Radhikas mansion in Italy and working as her PA. He is made to work and work. Especially when she says "I am bored. Dance for me". I clapped my hand on that one.
-Gayatris remorse that she ditched Raj and realizing that she loves Raj now in the letters she writes Raj once he leaves.
*Performances
*Out and out, this is Ranbir Kapoor (Raj) movie from start to end. The guy rocks. He can act, dance, make you laugh. The ultimate super cool charmer. Minnisha Lamba makes a reasonable impact in her role as Mahi. I cant imagine anyone else fitting the role of the girl who dreams of perfect love and emotes the hearbreak when ditched. Great performance. Bipasha (Radhika) got the most plum role of the female leads and she again never lets you down. Ambitious yet simple giving it up for the guy she loves in first avatar and the deadly dynamite "Shriya Rathore" who is uptight, tough and no nonsense actress. Deepika Padukone is fine, but I guess she didnt get enough presence in the movie to showcase her potential. And well 2 suprise packets of the movie. Hiten Paintal(Sachin) as Rajs buddy is a relevation and does a great job. another comic star in the making. And kudo to Kunnal Kapoor as Mahis husband Jogi. just takes over the screen presence for the 10 to 15 minutes he is in the movie.
*Summary:
*Good movie, but could have been better. I just find 2 things a little off on this movie
-Can a girl take one heartbreak so much to heart that she stops beleiving in love and impact her marriage
-A sudden attack of good conscience for Raj and his deciding to go and say sorry to those girls as if it would make everything good.
But well its a movie not somethings may not be realistic. Who knows!
Good performances, good music and the songs make this movie worth it. Whether its "Bachna Ae Haseeno", "Ahista Ahista", "Khuda Jaane", "Jogi Mahi" or "Small town girl" all songs are hummable
and the tunes are catchy.
