At present my Son is studying U.K.G in Nizampet Bachpan.I am highly dissatisfied with the approach of school management and teaching methods.Its more like a commercial corporate schools like Narayana , Chaitanya etc where in teachers expect the child to know every thing before they teach.Here are few scenarios, where in the above conclusions were made after interaction with the school mgmt and teacher.
1.While my son was in LKG, I gave the feedback that children in school communicate in local languages and they should encourage the children to use english as medium of communication and should teach lit bit of Hindi.The issue is teachers are the one who uses local language(Telugu) most of the time.The result for my above feedback is , my son was put in different section next year(UKG) and for which a teacher was from UP or MP(Not to offend any one).She was got at Hindi and my son improved in it.But the worst part was , she was very poor in English.
2.Some times, we use to get a note from the teacher and the there were blunders in the English.When we gave feedback to ensure that children doesn’t follow those grammatical mistakes, the outcome was as usual, change in section.
3.We got mentally prepared now as we came to know the approach of management towards the feedback.Feedback was always considered as complaint.
4.As per the school policies the new teacher is suppose to stay back till 3:30 PM if there is any child who hasn’t completed classwork.Surprising part is, teacher finishes the pending class work if the child is not able to complete by 2:30 PM or the Maid in the school use to complete it.We could clear make it , based on the hand writing and when we asked our son about that, we got the response that teacher or maid has completed that home work.And the suggestion from the teacher was to send my son for tuition.
A teacher who cannot teach my child in 6 hrs school time, how can I trust that, she will teach him in 2 hrs tuition. When ever we give the feedback, the management always takes it as complaints and go in a defensive mode.They start pointing that, my son is very naughty and he is the only child in the class who lags behind.I am having the valid proofs to prove them wrong.There are many children in and around my apartment, who are in the same level as my son. Mgmt should realise the fact that, being naughty is a birth right for a child.If he is not naughty, then its that point to be worried.There are might be some mental disorder in the children, if he is very quiet.
I agree that fact that, level of naughtiness might vary from child to child.
