I came across an article about back2basics on the internet and they looked genuine enough.
The fact that they allow people to visit their farms seemed to suggest that they do not peddle normal vegetables in the name of organic goods.
Going through their website, the vegetable prices looked to be on par with the rates I was paying at the local grocery store for normal vegetables, so I decided to try out back2basics and see if I can use them as my regular supplier of vegetables and fruits.
Started off by placing an order on 10 Jul 2016 for~600 rs.
Order was confirmed and delivery was promised on 12 July 2016.
Got a message on Whatsapp that I will get a call one hour before delivery.
Come 12 July 2016, at around 1 PM, I get a Whatsapp message from them again saying that the delivery will happen today and I will get a call 1 hour before delivery.
After that there were no calls or messages and the order was not delivered. I dropped them a message at around 9 PM asking why the delivery did not happen.
The next day I got a call from them and was told that due to "logistics issues" they could not deliver. I can understand that there will be some logistical issues now and then but I believe that they should be responsible enough to inform customers when they are unable to deliver an order.
Anyway, the caller said I had two options, one to cancel the order and the next to place the order again and get it delivered on 15th. I opted to place it again and get it delivered on 15th.
The same story repeated on the 15th. No message, no calls and no delivery and end result was no trust on back2basics.
The funny thing is they send a message asking for feedback about the order, when the delivery itself has not happened. Mercifully, the order was booked as cash on delivery, so I avoided losing money on it, but have lost all trust on back2basics and wont be going back to them.
