Im a badminton enthusiast and an intermediate level player. I have been playing for almost 6 months on a daily basis after a gap of 15 years. My second innings started with a Yonex Carnonet 6000 plus racket with which I could play reasonably well. Then I shifted to other rackets like Yonex nanospeed 100 and Yonex Voltric 5 because carbonex 6000 is a heavy racket( U, 100 gms) but unfortunately I could not perform at all with these isometric and long shaft rackets. The control was lost and accuracy was missing compared to my old carbonex 6000.
Then I decided to try Yonex carbonex 6 light racket. I bought it and upgraded to a thicket yonex grip. Im writing this review after playing with it for just one day! To my surprise, this low priced racket performed like a champion. I could regain my control and accuracy which was missing ever since I switched to isometric rackets.Smash is also pretty good and so is high clears from back of the court. This is really light weight( 3U) which I feel is optimum. If yonex had made it 4U, then power would have been a compromise. Build quality is also very good.
Guys, I have played with better and highly priced rackets like Voltric 7, arcsaber 6 etc, but Carbonex 6 light is well suited for players like me.with a long arm and average wrist power.
It is a great buy @ Rs.1800-
