I just dont know why I watched this film on first day first show... maybe because of Salman Khan... It seemed that only those scenes which he were a part of, had some life in it.
The film started off well, with happy happy scenes, songs and dances. Amitabh Bachchan works in none other than ICICI Bank and Hema Malini always uses Tata Tea, and her tea is usually prepared just before Amitabh enters the house. All in all, it seems a happy family with Amitabh, Hema, and their four sons and grandchildren. Salman Khan and Mahima Chaudhury also added zing to those first scenes.
The problem arose when Amitabh got retired and he wanted his sons to take care of him and Hema. And as usual, the sons wouldnt take care of them. So one of the son had an idea that one of them would take Amitabh alongwith them and another would take Hema alongwith them. This partition between the couple resulted in Amitabh believing that his own sons didnt want to take care of them, and he wrote a book on it !!! (which even fetched him a loooooot of money)
Finally, Salman and Mahima(their adopted son and daughter-in-law) came to their rescue and they were once again back on their own feet.
Good Points
Well.... the film doesnt have too many good points... but Amitabhs acting is worth mentioning. Hema Malini was also looking great. Salman was at his best and Mahima was also nice to look at. Paresh Rawal and Lillete Dubey worked well as comedy sidekicks.
Not so Good Points
This is something to talk about......
Firstly, the part where Amitabh and Hema were talking(singing) to each other over the phone was tooo lengthy. Also, the film lost its pace in the middle, making the incidents too repititive.
And, this is one thing that shocked me.... Rimi Sen playing daughter to Aman Verma and Suman Ranganathan!!!!
There was too much in-film advertising... Tata Tea, ICICI Bank, Ford Ikon Nxt, .....
The film is not that good for seeing, but you can pay a visit if theres nothing more interesting to do.
