I have been a member for sometime now and I find more angry people writing about bad experience. When it comes to good experience few take the effort. I too am lazy but I think the BA Mediclaim guys need a pat on the back. My family is covered by BA Gen Ins.
My son was admitted to a hospital which is not on the list of the cashless facility. I reported the admission to on the toll free helpline and was imdt given a regn no. I approached the local office of BA in Bhopal on phone where the staff was cordial and helped me out with the documents that I had and what else I required. The next time I visited the claim was accepted by the local office and dispatched to Pune for processing.
In fifteen days I had the claim cheque in hand. There was no fuss about not being in the non empanelled hosp, which I had chosen as per my sons pediatrician. The company says 15-20 days for settlement for me it was the lower time limit.
