I am a resident of Durgapur, West Bengal.I purchased a bajaj allianz personal accident policy in 2007.In policy document it was clearly mentioned that if no claim was made during the year and the policy renewed next year within 30 days of expiration of present policy then the company will increase the present sum assured by 5 percent.
In 2008 I went for renewal few days before the previous policy expired.when I received the policy document I found that sum assured was not increased. when I asked bajaj allianz office about the reason they just refused to give me any reason for it. Surprisingly in the new policy document also the same assurance was given by the company.
This year few days before my policy expires I contacted bajaj allianz through email.I asked them to give reason for refusing me benefit described in policy document . I received reply email from them after two days in which the assured me to investigate the matter and inform me the findings within six days. After six days I sent them a reminder but yet not get any response.
I wonder if a company refuse to give benefit which they are committing in written in policy document, then what they would do in case of any claim!
