I had a very bad experience with Baja Allianz (BA from here on) guys. I wanted to renew my car Insurance, I earlier had my car insured from ICICI lombard and I was looking out for other options to avail a good deal. I contacted BA head office in Pune and inquired about the offers. I was told that if I switch to BA for my car insurance I’ll be getting a free holiday package for 2nights and 3 days, 7 gift vouchers for washing and servicing my car and a anti theft device for my car. I provided my details to the Pune people and asked them to forward my request to their office in my city (Bangalore). I got a call after 2 days from their Bangalore office and the person in Bangalore office said that I’ll have to choose one of the three gifts. I said I was promised all three gifts. The Bangalore executive said he’ll clarify it from the Pune office and send a person at my home to get the premium cheque. Next day the person arrives at my place tells me that I will get only two gifts. I again reiterated the story to him and asked him to confirm from his senior who I spoke with. I called up the senior guy at Bangalore and he said I can select either of the three. Then I spoke to the Pune people again and they confirmed I will get all the three gifts. There was a major communication problem and the guy who came to my house kept saying I will get any 2 out of the 3 gifts. After an debate the executive in bangalore regarding the communication gap they have I got a call from their Pune office saying that there was a miscommunication and I can avail any of the 2 gifts and because this happened to me I am entitled for a 10% discount on the Premium. After this call the senior executive called me again and said I won’t be getting any discount and that was a miscommunication from the head office. I was literally pissed off. These people are not trustworthy. I wouldn’t go for them even if they insure my car for free.
Its not about the free offers, it’s about trust. Can you trust such people? First thing that came into my mind was if I am facing such problems with them while getting the insurance itself then unfortunately if I have to make a claim then I’ll be in a big mess.
I have named the people who harassed me but no action has been taken against them.
