Just pay for Bajaj Allainz Health Insurance

I am having my family mediclaim with Bajaj Allianz Insurance since last 20 months. My policy number is OG-07-1104-8401-0001373. I never needed insurance claim in this period nor for me neither for my family. But on evening of 19th June I felt pain in right side of my stomach. My local doctor gave me the painkiller tablets, which were not able to bring needed respite for me. On 20th June, the local doctor suggested a KUB Ultrasound. I got that done from National laboratory, Punjabi Bagh situated near by my home.


The testing Doctor told me that I have two stones, one in my right kidney and one in my right ureter . Till my testing was over, I was in sever pain. Still I got back to home and got a painkiller injection from the same local doctor. But the pain was mounting up and it was unbearable at 10 PM. At 11 PM I was rushed to emergency of nearest hospital Maharaja Agarsain Hospital, where they injected me with 2-3 more fluids.


After 2-3 hours I was normal and taken back to home. Next day, morning the pain started again and it was time, when I finalized to get this stone out of my body anyway. I went to R G Stone clinic at Pitampura, Delhi after confirming from Bajaj Allianz Insurance 24 hour helpline that this hospital has authorized cashless service from bajaj allianze. They have tested me and suggested surgeries. Then I have applied for the approval of the needed surgeries on afternoon of 21st June. The reply from Bajaj Allianz Insurance was that they will let me know the approval with in 3 hours. But it didn’t came in time. I contacted the hospital authorities, they told me that I will be told about approval in evening. I was in pain both physically and mentally about the reason why this delay is there, When there was no delay from my side about renewing this health policy and the payments there upon.


In the evening of 21st June, there was no reply from their side and to my surprise the approval was not cleared even on morning of 22nd June. On afternoon, I was again told by their helpline that the case is being monitored by their Delhi Local branch and they will clear it within 22nd June. Upon asking about contact numbers of local branch, they provided me the two numbers, of which one was of Bagga link and other was wrong. All this happened when I was in pain. Now on even after 6 days of regular pain, I was waiting for Bajaj Allianz Insurance approval to get this pain removed. Now is this mediclaim? Is this service? I believe government hospital would have provided me with a better help than this company and that too for free.


I feel sucked. At this point of time I feel like transferring this pain to the responsible person and then get him waited for my approval at least 6 days. And then ask him, "what do you feel about renewal of Bajaj Allianz Mediclaim" You know what will his reply be.. Finally at 5 pm on 23rd june, I was told that this claim is not approved. I want to know, why this claim was on hold for so long and why this claim was not been approved. Yogesh Dua
