Claimed a fairytale policy.
When I received the documents, the fairytale shattered. Many claims were not included in the policy documents atall. Before I purchased the policy, the person who was selling it used to pick up my call within 1 ring. And now, after purchasing, its been 4 months since hes not picked up my call. Being what I am, I was not going to rest.
After complaining to the toll-free number, I got acquainted with a sales manager. He sent a person to check my documents, and indeed there were flaws. They took my documents and promised to send back correct ones in a weeks time. This happened in June. Today is November.
Because I have the contact number of that sales manager, I realize I have a bait. Now Iv started sending sarcastic hate messages which he replies with apologies. My demand is singular. Return my cheque of Rs.30, 000 and add 6 months of interest of inflation to it. Else the complaint is going to the consumer court.
Since I am a bachelor and only 23, I am not so desperate for the money to be returned. I will get it anyways, but if I dont get an interest, Il grab it in the form of entertainment by torturing the sales manager even more:-D
What I learnt and what you should know:
1) The policy might not be bad in principle
2) Service is terrible. When a person sells you the policy, grab a paper, write all his claims, and get his signature with terms and conditions on it. That if the documents dont hold the same truth, you get your money back. Do it no matter how ridiculous it sounds. Else youl regret it later.
3) Be strong as a stone in your demands.
