I had a cashless healthguard policy from Bajaj Allianz through corporate plan. Recently I had a chance to use this facility at Manipal Hospital Bangalore being their panelled hospital for my wife’s delivery.
The preauthorisation happened within hours of submitting the form through Manipal and even they authorised new born baby’s expenses within 2 hrs of birth. The customer service was very good and they have responded the querries through their online chat.
Manipal hospital by mistake(as they claim!) took 10% of maternity expenses from me before discharging the mother and baby from the hospital. The matter when taken with Bajaj Allianz was resolved within a day of informing as they talked immediately to the hospital authorities and asked for written clarification from Manipal for charging the cutomer. Hospital admitted the fact that the amount should not have been taken. They also agreed to refund the amount within 14days.
Overall the customer service attitude from Bajaj allianz was good and they returned each call and email addressed to them. This ensured a smooth hasslefree medical facilities.
The premium rates are high and lot of exclusions are there if you take the policy privately(i.e not through company corporate plan).
