Most Unprofessional customer service

I am an unfortunate victim of Bajaj Finance. In March 2010 I purchased a Sony Handy cam worth 19, 700 I availed a loan of Rs 9249 /- from Bajaj finance (Loan account no 4050CD00050023) and the remaining 10, 451 paid through my debit card.

I was explained that I will be charged 1642 per month for six months through ECS to which I agreed. My EMIs started from May 2010 onwards. So technchandru021y I had to pay until October 2010.

I was shocked to see that they still were asking me to pay November months EMI. According to me all my DUEs were cleared.

When I took this issue to Bajaj Finance’s Executive Ms Paritha who used to sit in the Croma Belapur branch, told me to request for a stop payment of cheque or keep my account empty.

So I issued a stop payment to my bank and further more emptied my account for couple of days.

This is when the problem started. The ECS bounced and I started getting calls from Recovery agents. I told them the entire case. One of the recovery agents explained to me where the goof up had happened. Some salRajeev_Vermarson had wrongly entered my loan under 8 month scheme.

This was accepted by Bajaj finance and Croma, Belapur branch too. They asked me to pay the money and they would reimburse the amount later. When asked about the 350 Rs, Paritha (The Bajaj executive who used to sit at Croma, Belapur branch) verbally told me that it was waived off and she also had a word with the recovery agent.

I also had a telephonic conversation with some manager named Aniket, who accepted that it was their mistake and even he assured me that the bounced charges were waived off. After that, only thing I heard from this chap was “Sir, I am in a meeting.

I will call you back in few minutes.” Never heard from him again (I hope everything is fine with him. Oh by the way everybody at Bajaj finance says the same thing. The bottom line is that they never call you again. NEVER).

When I asked her to give it to me in writing, she denied saying the she did not have authority to use the company stamp or make a statement like that.

I insisted that she gets it written from the Manager of Croma, Belapur branch, she started giving excuses like he is not in today and there was no authorized personal who could give me that letter.

Few days later I received a call from the recovery agent asking for money. They said that if I didn’t pay it on time that would spoil my CIBIL record.

The same day in the evening Paritha called me up saying that since they have to close the monthly accounts I need to pay the cash before getting the cheque in my had or else my name would be black listed in CIBIL.

I paid the money only after I got an assurance from the chief accountant of Croma, belapur branch. They reimbursed me the amount for 2 months in cheque sometime later that week.

Now I have no dues clear. When I request Bajaj Finance to issue me a NOC they are asking me for that 350 Rs. I have repeated the entire story to the New manager one Mr. Gaurav Seghal (Aniket was replacing him, as Gaurav was not feeling well).

Mr. Gaurav as any other Bajaj employee keeps you in anticipation “I will call you” (Please refer to the third para for the actual explanation of “I will call you”).

I have sent many complaints to wecare@bajajfinserv.in. All that I get in response is an Auto generated Service request number. Which I think has no meaning at all. I even escalated this matter to the Grievance Redressal Team grievanceredressalteam@bajajfinserv.in. All that they say is

I urge all good willed customtakeouters to ensure and save themselves from such fraudulent cases from M/s Bajaj Finance and Croma, Belapur. Because when they say “we care”, believe me they actually don’t.
