Bajajs advertising guys are on a roll. First they started it all with the Pulsar classics definately male ad. That ad was short, sweet and to the point. Then they gave us the pulsar dtsi ad(the first one) which made stunters out of us and made our adrenaline flow. If that wasnt enough they took out this avenger ad. I have just two words to say- TOO GOOD.
Without using any kind of dramatics (like in the pulsars ad), without any special
effects(in the discovers ad) and without even showing the features of the ad, they have made people sit up & take notice. Speaks a lot for the talent of the advertising guys.
When you are on a cruiser......it just carries you off efortlessly and relaxes your senses.....it alleviates you from the troubles of the world.......it makes you forget your problems.........whereas a Sports bike(like a Pulsar) caters to your need for speed, it gives you and adrenalin rush which heightens you senses........so in the true sense, they have shown how and why a cruiser appeals to people. The positioning is just right.. Aint Ladakh the dream destination of every biker? Also the lines.. I forgive them all.. I feel like God..!! This ad grows on u.. Acommendable effort...
Typically, they are targetting customers who might be going for a change in their bikes...2nd buy kind of thing...(Forgive my past, has a boss, a fiancee who dumped him- indicate a person who wd be at least in his late 20s and has experienced life)
Segmentation- I dont think the ad will appeal to a college going guy as much as it would appeal to someone like the person described above, so a college going guy isnt their primary target audience. The ad is always made keeping in mind the primary target...the portion of population where from you are expecting a larger than average sales of ur product to come from.
All bike ads , especially higher priced ones will depict experiential driving...it is something all bikers like to see...this is called projective technique..something that u want to be , but cannot (very difficult to ride to Ladakh like that, isnt it?)
Unique ad, no specs or details of bike mentioned in the ad, just focus is on the feeling you get when you ride the avenger. Great going by bajaj, they got the right kind of people to make ads, even discover ad was cool, except for funny stunts by jackie.
But I was just wondering
Firstly
CAN ANYONE FEEL LIKE HE IS GOD RIDIND AN AVENGER!!!!!!!!
Secondly
IF THE GUY FORGIVES THE PEOPLE THEN WHY IS THE AD NAMED AS AVENGER?
