I went to test ride Bajaj Avenger. On that day it was the most worst decision taken by me.
Anyways, I went to test ride in the pro-biking (it is pro only in its name) showroom. I knew here at pune they had a simulator. So started with the simulator. Rolled accelarators a couple of times on 180-DTSi and Avenger. This whole funda of simulator did not appeal much to me as I hardly had any feelings of control of these bikes under punes traffic condition. So I asked the manager to arrange for a test ride of Avenger.
I had to ask only this and this chap in bajaj showroom went on making excuses like these:
bajaj does not give on road test ride of avenger and 180 dtsi.
till last week bajaj used to give test rides of these bikes. Last week one customer had an accident so bajaj discontinued giving test ride.
ok..ok..ok...ok..I can arrange one bike for test ride but I need to get petrol for it.
Sir, we will not allow you to take this bike on road. you must drive this in this buildings campus.
It is not difficult to imagine what I have been through. Just to get a ride in the buildings area I had to waste 2 hours due to bajajs unprofessional attitute towards selling these bikes.
Bajaj must only sell 150 DTS-i. They are not fit for this cruise bike segment.
Later I bought ThunderBird and I am happy with the way enfield entertained me.
I will never ever suggest anyone to go for Bajaj bikes.
