Well, after so much of convincing my father, he finally agreed to buy me a Royal Enfield. I was so happy that I slept early that night.
All of a sudden, my mother walks into my room at 1 am and starts blasting me. Oh, the sweet dream that was soon to be a reality faded away.
She said that I don’t have the ‘aukad’ to ride a bullet. I am not sure what she meant cause I was half asleep but I was sure that my bullet won’t be coming. So, I had no option but to choose its step brother, the Bajaj Avenger. I thought the ride quality would be comfortable but the ones who sit on the back have a better time than those who ride it.
The handlebars are straight so the back doesn’t stay straight at all times. I love my bike but there are a few issues I can’t ignore. The mileage is bad, doesn’t even clock 35 kmpl. The chain has to be tightened every month(mind you that this is a classic Bajaj problem that has existed for decades). Brakes are the same. Cornering is that that great because if you make sharp turns, the rear end will deceive you and youll fall so better be careful if youre too much of a racing enthusiast.
But the bike has endurance, I’ll give it that much of credit. It can go on long rides without much issue. The styling is pretty awesome as well. So, to sum it up, I, at first wasn’t really happy with my choice but then I realized that the step son isn’t that bad at all. I’d recommend buying it if you are a slow ride lover and not a racing maniac.
