Hi Guys,
I am from Westmambalam, Chennai. I was using Bajaj Chetak from Jan1991 to Aug2006. Even now my Bajaj Chetak is going really good. But I had a dream of buying Bajaj Avenger for a long time. I have to admit that I first fell in love with this bike and I would be one among the early customers for Bajaj Avenger, purchased on Sept 2006 by spending lot of my time on the reviews and pooling up money for the bike just to pay down payment. Truly speaking I enjoyed the driving like anything after buying the bike. After the 1st service in the Jai Autos I was really fed up in using the bike. I got a call from the Jai autos after the 1st service and took it for a ride. I heard a peculiar sound. I took it back to them again and explained the problem. They asked me to take the vehicle the next day. The next day I thought that I will get a call from them. I did not till 6 pm and I called them to enquire about my bike. They told me that there is a shaft problem which is a manufacturing defect but I said it was not there for the whole one month. They did not answer to my question and they kept the bike for almost 3 days with them to just repair it and till now I am facing the same problem with the sound and when I press the brakes slightly the brake rod starts vibrating and some times if I go at 40 kmph I had a feeling like it is taking me suddenly to the right side and they mixed a oil called "Bardal special injector klene" spoiled the mileage or they have tuned the carburetor badly. I went to Jai Autos lot many times to know the reason but they ask me to ride the bike as it is and it will set right slowly as they changed the shaft with a new one. My 2nd service falls on this month end. I thought of explaining them everything right from the beginning and inform them that I am not going to take my bike back till the problem settles or else I am going to keep the bike in their show room as display piece.
