I bought bajaj avenger 200 dtsi last diwali 2009, first it was great but after the first rain it started getting rust , I visited the bajaj service centre at lower parel, mumbai. But the person there named suhas had a shoking explaination that bajaj steel are cheap , hero honda are better once. Within 8 mouth my bikes silencer, mirrors , front guard had all started to rust. I really did’nt expected this. Even the clutch wire broke within a year.
Now i’m collecting old parts of the bike from grey market as they are of eliminator bike and fits appropriately, even they are old but are more shiny then bajaj 200 cc bike. My speedo meter also broke as it is a fiber body(plastic) which does not bear it own weight and break generally from where its attached to the bike.
This speedo meter problem is terrible as I had seen numbers of old and new once hanging in grey market just with a broken end so I bought a old metal one from there as my meter is also broken.overall looks and comfort is great but the bike at almost rs.80000 its not worth at all, better but a nano.
