1 Year of Ownershipe
hmm.. my relationship with avenger’s gonna be a year soon.. it has been a real good experience... i’ve completed 11, 000 odd kilometers on this bike and no major problems as of now. Had been on a lotta long drives, the longest being 300Kms at a strech with 200Kms of ghat. The performance was truly amazing. I could pull the bike on the steepest of the curves easily. i’m gettin a good mileage (35 - 45kmpl) depending on the drivin conditions. The top speed i’ve take is 120kmph on a slope with pillion rider, otherwise touched 115kmph on a plain surface. These dayz I need to travel 13 kms for my office and the road is awesome.. I jus enjoy my ride daily.

Itz now few days short for 4 moths of ownership of this bike. I am happy with itz performance. Jus that knocking sound still persists. Rest I am getting an awesome mileage, great pleasure in riding and at every signal there is someone enquiring about this bike with me. About the problem first, I talked about this to my mechanic(Not the showroom guy) and he said that itz an hour job to fix it. My mechanic told me that the tensions of the gear is not set properly and thatz the culprit. He also told me that he can fix that in no time. I was happy to hear that. I care damn about the warranty cuz I know my mechanic since 12years and he does not lie(atleast when it comes to me) hehehehe.... I got my bike serviced for the second time and also planning for a long ride on that this weekend or so. Hey guys.. if u reading this review and are confised about buying a bike then I ask u to hold on for somemore time and check out Bajaj DtsF-i Sport. It is a 250/225cc bike(i am not sure if itz 225 or 250). read my review on Bajaj Pulsar 180cc about this. I am getting a mileage of about 45-48 consistently when I use SPEED 97 in my avenger. I am a hard core bike fan and understand everybit of my engine and I noticed that my engine getz smooth when I fill my tank with SPeed 97. Though a lot more expensive, I filled my tank to full this time. just to check the mileage on the long run. I am also planning for a long ride(400kms To n Fro). Rest I have some noise coming in from the shockers also.. I do not think that itz a matter of concern cuz thatz very minor. will check if it still persists in the third service. I touched a top speed of 100kmph on this bike and the best thing is itz control. the front disc is awesome. I doubt the rear tyre though cuz it kinda skids. I am lookin out for Pirelli or Michelin. The rubber used on this tires are really good. ON my Pulsar 180 I put Pirelli ___________ and it was awesome... the road grip that u get and also the control when u break is good. Now coming to the oil. I am using Castrol GTX magnatech for 2000Kms now and itz good. The engine heats up because of this oil but the performance is ultra smooth and u can feel the power. I recommed this for the city commuters and this time I am gooin to try Castrol Power. I am looking for MOTUL 4T 3000 oil but havin hard time finding it in Hyderabad. I would want to have dual horn on my avenger which again will be shortly done. Another thing that mite interest you guys. These days we have remote security system coming in the market. Even bajaj showroom in hyd sells that for 1600bucks. this comes with a 12months guarantee. the features are engine kill, remote start, buzzer if someone touched ur bike. Here the catch is that similar units are also available in the market and u wont belive the price... its priced at 650-800Rs in Hyderabad. The units are basically same. both 1600 and 650 units are exactly same.. I wonder why the showroom guyz are sellin it at an expensive price.... Now about crusing... the best speed to cruise is at 80... u can enjoy the beauty the feel of the bike.. I will update u guys about the high speeds on avenger once I go on my long ride... also.... guyz who are from hyderabad can join our group so that we all can plan rides on weekends or so... mail me so that I will give the group name.... I am also planning to get alloys for my avenger... though my mechanic does not reccomend that.... I think that is all I have with me now.. will keep updating this review... happy reviewing... jOe
