The bajaj avenger is present in India for more than a decade now, earlier it was known as eliminator but later the name of bike changed to avenger.
I purchased this bike on 2015 diwali when new versions of this bike were launched, I purchased Street 220 and here is my detailed review after using this bike for around 2 years.
LOOKS:
after the update the bike looks very good, specially the street version of bike, this bike to an extent resembles to Street 750
The full black theme gives this bike a very brilliant look and this bike has a black alloy wheels too, the engine is also black in color.
So overall the looks of bike are quite good.
ENGINE:
this bike is powered by a 220 cc engine which produces a maximum of 19.8 bhp of power, the engine is same as used in pulsar 220 but engine is tuned to a cruiser bike so the power is less as compared to pulsar 220 but torque is more.
Engine is smoother than earlier version of bike
So in terms of engine the bike performs very well.
MILEAGE :
The mileage of this bike is quite satisfactory in highway it gives me around 45 kmpl of mileage and in City it gives around 38- 40 kmpl of mileage.
MAINTENANCE :
The maintenance of this bike is quite pocket friendly and moreover this bike just require regular servicing at a period of 3 months.
There are no major maintenance issues in this bike and parts of this bike are easily available all over India and the price of parts is also quite cheap, .
So overall in terms of maintenance this bike is pocket friendly.
DRIVING COMFORT:
truely saying this is the most comfortable bike I have ever ridden the comfort of this bike cannot be matched to any other bike in this segment, position of foot pegs is also good.
now I would like to mention few things that I dont like about my bike
FIRST, there is no rear disk breaks available in this bike.
SECONDLY, there is no abs in this bike which leads to lack of safety in this bike.
FINAL VERDICT:
Overall its a very good bike with no major issues and therefore I would recommend this bike to those who have a budget of around 100000 and are looking for a comfortable cruising bike.
Thank you.
