Boss of 100CC bike, The Bajaj BOXER - AT

Dear Fellow Boxers, My pleasure reading your reviews. I never ever felt there’ll be people loving Bajaj Boxer. Thats a Wonderful machine for a Sales  / Marketing guy.

When I was a college sMr_customtakeouternt, my dad presented me a Yamaha YBX 125 wayback in 2001. I ripped it off and when I came out of college in search of a job that Yamaha couldn’t support me with its condition and scarcity in availability of parts. Then I thought of looking at owing a bike with an easy installment since my salary was only 3500/- in 2004. I was selling Tata Indicom walky phones (wireless) in Hyderabad. So, I needed a low cost maintenance bike. Those days, Bajaj Discover and TVS Victor were booming in the market. I decided on buying a Discover. All set for Discover. But, when I have gone to Deccan Bajaj Showroom in Ranigunj area of Secunderabad to take my new Bajaj Discover Bike delivery. I happened to look at the displayed Bajaj Boxer AT, the last version of old model. I almost felt like "She’s waiting for me". When I enquired with them, I was told only 1 bike is available with no color options. Am not worried what ever color, (Still its a Great Candywine Red with Gold colored graphics on tank) she is.

I wanted to own her and same day, same time - I asked my Citi Finance guy to change my finance from Discover to Boxer and he also helped me.

Fellow Boxers, believe me or not - it costed me only 3500/- as Downpayment. With that, I really felt glad when compared with 9000/- Downpayment for Discover. I compromised myself with looks as I am very heavy (around 80 kgs by then) and thought it may not look good to ride it.

Believe me, all my worries were paid off. It has become so lucky to me. From being a Sales Person for Tata Indicom’s DSA Supra Teleservices in Hyderabad, I began to choose my career with Automobile and never looked back. Very recently, I resigned my job as a Sales Manager for Ford outlet in Chennai to start my own business. Even today, I haven’t left my Boxer. I could have travelled in my bike for about 1.5lacs till date. But, never got any trouble. All my investment was petrol, engine oil and petrol, engine oil.

I have put the 3.00 tyre configuration (actually the rear one for this bike) also at the front. Since I use the bike at high speeds and also at highways mostly.

I took my bike from Hyderabad to Chennai (by Road) many times. Not even a single time, I faced a single problem. (Touch-wood - not to mention. She’s seems to be actually created for me)

Thanks to Rahul & Rajeev Bajaj for bringing such a product to India. But, I really felt bad - they could have continued to sell even more Boxers. (Not the 150 cc one).

Very sorry for your times. But, I’ve been looking out for an opportunity to speak to someone about my bike since years. Now got a chance to burst out. Thats it.

If anyone wants more of my bike or wants to take revange on me for wasting your time, please share it to me at write2pragna@gmail.com

Am waiting to read your views more about Boxers.
