Hamara Bajaj is certainly not working on the credibility it has built over the years. By producing some of the most affordable and reliable vehicles in the past, Bajaj certainly deserved the position of trust. However, considering the performance of some of its creations in the last five years, it would be right to say that it is no longer Hamara Bajaj.
It is still a credible brand. But it needs to work out its logistics right. In creating a stylish and affordable bike it goofs up on technology. In creating a technically sound and affordable bike, it goofs up on styling. In creating a stylish and technically sound bike it fails to make it affordable.
Basically, Mr. Rahul Bajaj needs to set his priorities right. If he tries to offer something for everyone and everything for someone...then his fate will be similar to his bike Aspire!
Boxer does not deliver on the promises of fuel economy and stability. It has a very poor and I would say dangerous acceleration for Indian roads. It is also relatively fragile compared to other bikes. However, it does provide riding comfort and stability to some extent.
Overall I would like to advise Mr. Bajaj to either stick to making scooters or get his logistics of making bikes right. For those who has driven the Sunny!, riding a Boxer gives a feeling of Deja vu!
