Gone are the days when scooters were considered as a Family utility two wheeler vehicles ... but now here are the days when these scooters are more considered as Expensive two wheelers .... Gone were the days when people used to select a scooter rather than a motorcycle ... but as we all know that the world is not all the same and keeps on changing at a rapid rate i.e it is the function of time ... and with the evolution of 4-stroke motorcycles ...the scooters have been kicked out from the two wheeler industry ... it has completely closed the doors for those family favouring scooters ... these scooters are now a complete no no in the market ....
Just consider my case .... we had purchased BAJAJ BRAVO (THE DEADLY SCOOTER) as it was speculated during its launch as the most ferocious two wheeler for a ransom amount of about Rs.36, 000 on 29th April 2000 .... it was my wish that we purchase a something hatke two wheeler .... but now as I am looking to sell my scooter because of the brunt it is making in my pocket due to its low mileage and hike in fuel prices I am finding its worth no more than 5000 bucks !!!!!!!! .... though the scooter is in its best condition and run only 12, 000 kms and not a single scratch ....i am really annoyed by its market value ... I am set to lose 80% of the amount I have invested on this scooter ....
Anyways leaving all that aside .. lets move to the positives and negatives of the scooter as well its exterior and its performance ....
Appearance and looks
When bravo was launched in a very grand fashion ... because of certain newly added technologies like reed valve to the old traditional scooters .... it was separately named as Bajaj Bravo ..... During its launch this scooter along with Legend were the most good looking scooters in the scooter industry ... The body of this scooter was very finely designed though it resembled the same old traditional scooters like bajaj chetaks .... but the indicators were redesigned to oval shape , the exhaust was refined, there were added tyre covers , and its voice was completely different..offcourse not vrroooommm ... and this scooter really looked handsome when parked somewhere .... so nothing more to say abt its looks coz they were neither extra ordinary nor ordinary ....
Looks ---> 7.5/10
Performance and Technical Specifications
The name Bravo was aptly kept because of its very brave pickup ... the scooter really excelled in its performance department .. it was a tremendous excitement to ride this scooter .. in the first gear the scooter zoomed like a bullet and similarly in the later gears too its performance was awesome ....
The engine of this scooter has a displacement of about 146cc approximately which is almost equal to the displacement of my pulsar and as well it is just less than the 157cc displacement CBZ ... so surely this scooter is a power house ... but this is really heartening because the scooter has a Maximum power of just 7.5 bhp at 5500 revolutions per minute ... The maximum torque which is a rotational force that can be generated is about 10.8 Nm .... The maximum speed I could attain on this scooter was 88 kmph .. I guess it was awesome because at that speed the scooter was very stable and was smooth as butter ....the breaks are drum shaped ... the kerb weight of the scooter is approximately 105 kgs .... one more concern abt it is that the ground clearance when compared to other vehicles is very less ..it is just 135mm .. which may cause instablilty while cornering.There will be many shocks which could effect the rear and and front suspensions of the scooter.. which may result in damage of the chasis of body due to the frequent speedbreakers in hyderabad ... I got to be careful more for the bike rather than myself ...The top speed I could cover was 88kmph on this scooter

Fuel Efficiency
This is just this department where this scooter recieves heavy battering ... but yeh scooter sudharne waali nahi hai ... it really is not fuel efficient .. it gives me a mileage of around 32-35 in city and not more than 40 in highway conditions... intially this scooter could have been maintained .. but with the hike in fuel prices ... it really is worth that I should get rid of this scooter as early as possible ... with the rise of bikes with mileages of nearly 80-90 kmpl .. who would like to continue with this headache scooter ....
Fuel Efficiency---> 6/10
VERDICT
Gone are the days when one wouldnt care about the most economical factors ... but frankly speaking this scooter should be a complete no no for starters (who would like to pirchase a scooter when motorbikes provide more performance .... So my general advice is that dont go for the scooter unless u like this bike this much that u can bear its fuel expenses ....
