Bad mileage

I brought a hoodibaba caliber 115 in the month of April. I had a lot of problems as the machine had a lot of starting trouble. Even for a small stop of 10 minutes, I had to use the choke and a hard kick to start the engine. The dealers were really not able to figure out what was the problem for a long time. One fine day, I decided to sit with the dealer at the time of checking the vehicle and we found out an electrical problem and the CD (a unit under the seat) was not proper. The dealer changed the CD and the starting problem is not persisting.

I have a major problem with this machine now and it is the Mileage problem. I had a very poor mileage and the dealers told me that due to the CD problem the mileage may be bad, but now even after the CD is replaced, the mileage is bad. I got 43 kms per litre after the CD replacement and the company claims 90 kms, atleast 70 kms in city driving conditions. While driving at the top gear, I feel that there should be another gear (may be one more gear to change) as the driving is not smooth, but the gear in which I am driving is 4th gear, the top gear.

However, apart from the mileage part, the vehcile is good to ride.
