Caliber really Unshakable

Hi friends, I own Caliber Croma from year 2002 October, Caliber was my first bike which gave me liberty to travel during my college days including field visits, because I had reallybig problems due to irregular schedules of public bus transportation and I could not manage my college time mostly. So I love this bike and have emotional attachment to it. Till date it has almost completed 14 years(i am going for its registration next September) and have clocked 80000 Kilometers(because after 2010 I purchasedpulsar 150 so my riding kilometers were divided with it), and still engine is sealed, I get mileage of 50-55 Kmpl which is not a bad thing for 14 years old bike, as per my riding habit I mostly ride between speed range from 50-65. This bike was discontinued in 2006 as the collaborationof Kawasaki & BAJAJ ended. Hence it was little tough to get spare parts of this bike but in Ahmadabad we still easily get the spare parts for Caliber and I have maintained my bike well(u can check pictures I have uploaded), till now I have changed chain spocket set once and replaced silencer with Hodibaba with Kawasaki badge. I get oil changed at ever 2500 kilometers regularly and get it serviced at regular intervals. This is really powerful bike with good torque which u can feel while climbing hills slopes or while pulling friends in triple seat in traffic signals(where u need instant pickup), I agree that its back suspensions get tough very soon with in few Years of purchase so it becomes little uncomfortable as compared to today’s modern bikes, but I still do my long trips(500-600 Kms) with the same the company fitted suspensions and they don’t give any problem to me. Regarding its spare parts one good thing is that now most of spare parts of new CT 100 can be used for caliber engine so its a relief. I have clocked 80000 Kms yet engine is in very good condition(Pick up & mileage) and does not need overhauling. In Mouth shut blogs users have clocked this bike more than 160000 Kilometers with sealed engine and still going well, so I don’t think I have to work on engine till another 80000 Kilometers. Regarding riding experience it is very good bike with smooth gears shift(Caliber Croma Model), I enjoy it. Riding on highway is really a joy it has got good maneuverability, its road grip while taking sharp turns, is little on lesser side as I have MRF Tyre with lesser rubber but still it had very good braking efficiency and stops with in short distance(saved me during panic braking in traffic conditions.)

Its looks & appeal is Unique which suits both casual and formal(Suit) dressing of driver, well this bike is designed 19 years before so it is not a good sense to compare it with today new generation bikes, but when caliber was launched it was latest on design, which included new design of fuel tank, tachometer, and new design or tail lamp.

Last I will like to say that since 14 years I enjoyed and still enjoy riding this bike, it is really reliable bike if you maintain well, (as it is old model bike which is not manufactured now), I still take my Caliber for long trips and till today I haven’t faced any breakdown or problems. and please dont forget to check the pics of my bike I have posted and please post a comment for it.
