A General view --->
I ride home from work, almost regularly, with my colleague on his Bajaj Caliber 115 (thats around 50 km daily).
The ride home is bumpy at times, as is usually the case with Indian roads, but thanks to the Caliber 115, backaches are kept far away.
The seats are quite high up, so tall people can also enjoy comfortable seats. Moreover, the bike makes a nice Vrooomm... sound which goes very well with bike lovers.
Few technical points --->
The bike is very sturdy. It doesnt sway at speeds of 60 -70 kmph. coupled with good cross winds.
For a 100 cc bike, the Caliber shows off good power while climbing slopes, with both the riders.(Thats almost around 140 kg.)
About the fuel efficiency : Well, as told by my colleague who owns the bike, the Caliber is a fuel efficient bike. Currently after nearly 6000 km, the bike still gives an average of 50 - 60 km per litre.
For purana(old) Bajaj bike owners :
The Caliber has a good horn, a very good and powerful headlight (Actually the Caliber has halogen bulbs instead of the conventional yellow light bulbs which flashes very hard on the eyes and is disliked by few), a sleek and good looking Instrument panel(dashboard) and real strong brakes.
Earlier and even now, anti-rust, is always applied on old bikes during the rains.This is not at all necessary for the Caliber 115, because the Caliber body is made up of a particular material that does not rust.
An additional point --->
Recently my office had a biking trip to Lonavla, a hill station, around 70 km from Mumbai. Throughout the journey, as a pillion rider, I had a very good time. One of my colleagues had taken his old Caliber, his pillion rider had a torrid time. According to that pillion rider, the moment he sat on the Caliber 115, it felt relaxing the reason being leg muscle cramps that he faced while riding on the older Caliber.This incident further proves the comfortability of the Caliber 115, even for long journeys.
On the whole --->
Overall it is a very comfortable executive bike. It has all the qualities of a good bike.The pillion rider will definitely enjoy the rides with the Caliber 115 (subject to the riding capabilities of the rider !!!).
