My father bought bajaj chetak way back in 1988.
It was advertised as ’’Buland Bharat Ki Bukand Tasveer’’ at that time, the ad was a hit amongst the people.
well guys the scooter is still alive n kicking. Inspite of numerous accidents the body is still intact.
the engine is still very good and pickup is ok.
It never fails to start, sails along easily at 50 mph. Not top speed, by the way.
The accesories are far cheaper then todays bike or scooters.
Less maintenance with no hassles
Maintenance cost is very less.
Only general service is required.
My father has just spend some money on repainting the body, changing the seat covers, headlights I mean most of them were cosmetic changes no internal changes were done.
I know this review is of no use as this model is very outdatd but just wanted to share my thoughts about the scooter. Scooters are giving way to bikes now a days. Scooters may be extinvt in the near future.
