Huge sales lead to poor Quality & Service

Hi,

I am using this bike for last 8 months. Since I used TVS SUZUKI+Mopeds+Scooty for 15 years prior to CT100, I compare TVS models here.

A) Due to huge sales volume, the dealer & service facilities are pathetic.

I got my RC book only after 2.5 months time. Battery failed. May be, it was not filled with distilled water properly during 1st Service.

B) Poor response from Service stations. The ’Speedo meter cable inner’ failed within 2000 kms that too after 4 days of service. That is the level of servicing.

C) Plated components(Engine bolts, Silencer fittings, gear shift lever) are getting rusted & corroded quickly. I did not face this problem with TVS bikes.

D) Once, I was climbing up to 3rd floor of International IT Park, Chennai, the ’gear shifting lever’ fell down to the floor , since, this was not tightly fitted during assembling or service. When I tried to tighten it, the bolt got worn out. Bajaj’s design team failed to predict the correct selection of bolt strength. This could be due to heavy production at Bajaj that could have lead to compromising of the quality. Then I purchased ’TVS oil-treated screw’ to fit ’gear shifting lever’ with proper grip. Is it SAFE to use CT100?

E) Fitting the Helmet locker is not convenient in CT-100 Deluxe. Does Bajaj design team apply some thinking about Helmet users?

F) There is big gap between their claim and actual mileage. I do not see such a big gap in TVS models. Bajaj claims 101 KM/L, but it gives only 60-65 KM/L, I drive at speed 45 km/hr for non-stop 25km on IT High Way, Chennai, not in city traffic.

G) Now engine started giving noise. I hate this noise.

H) I sent email to Bajaj Contact email-id But NO response. I guess, Bajaj takes the customers granted. My friend had small leak in TVS-suzuki’s petrol tank which was promptly replaced by TVS with no cost. This was done thru a just simple letter to TVS. I regret my decision to pick CT100 instead of TVS Star.

I hope, Bajaj will address these small issues quickly, including revamping the dealers, in order to stay on top.
