I took a test drive of new Bajaj Discover at Pune’s company shwroom, and wanted to share my thoughts on this bike, It was really a good experience.
I think Discover is the perfect combinition of looks, power & mileage! because looks wise many people say it’s a mini pulsar and no other 125cc bike gives you alloy wheels (Mag. Wheels), with really good proportionate lining and now with new attractive graphics.
Considering power, it gives you 8.47kw (11.51ps) which is best in 125CC class available in India with a mileage of Minimum 65km/ltr. (company claims). and offers its DTSi & ExaustTEC technology. The most amazing thing I’ve found in this bike is Good Torque even in 3rd and 4th gear at low RPM, which is very useful for city riding.
I think Discover is not getting its expected market response because there are two types of mentalities in India first one who are strictly Mileage oriented, they go for 100cc bikes like CT100 or Centra, Splendor or Victor etc. and other ones typical young generation who is mad about Power they prefer Pulsar 150 which gives you almost similar mileage to Discover or any other 125cc bikes.
I found Discover is not suitable for people who are more than 5’, 9’’ tall. and not even for heavyweight people. Considering Pricing, Looks, Features, mileage and pickup I think Bajaj DISCOVER is a perfect combinition. I also receive positive feedback about discover from servcie center mechanics.
