This is my 1st review on mouthshut .following mouthshut for many days.So lastly I decided to be on mouthshut. As I am going to buy my 1st bike.so I am confused which one to choose.lastly I shortlisted 2 bikes passion pro discover 100 cc.
Then I decided why to choose passion pro of 10 yrs old engine.no style factor.only graphics change in old passion.Then I got my dream bike red color discover dts-si (100cc) on 12Oct2009.it cost 45000 INR in bhubaneswar, Orissa with seat cover, engine guard, buzzer, basket.on 1st ride I am quite impressed with the bikes pick up and smooth engine sound.
I am already tried it up to a speed of 95KPH. It vibrates between 45-50 then the vibration disappears.it is a balanced bike.as I ride mainly in national highways it gives me mileage 80-85. I always use xtra premium fuel.
Now the story starts
At first it is always a problem in mornings to start kicking for nearly 5-10 times but no start. after some time some more kicks the bike starts as per service center it is a common problem in all bikes for 1st two months.After 1 month my bike starts in single kick even in cold mornings. After 1st service this problem solved and the next is the shock absorber which started small sound and the engine has also a sound when you accelerate as per service center engine sound is for loose chain and shocker sound is for oiling they did some chain tight but no result then I checked this bike in local garage they just tightened chain and after adjusting clutch the bike again runs like makhann.
Service center guys don’t even try to know what’s the problem they work after taking money 50-100rs. I don’t think passion pro will be a better choice than this.As I already ride passion pro the driving is boring and you can feel back pain after long ride.its fuel tank design is also not good.I am a 6’ rider have no problem in riding discover. Lastly I want to say it is a very nice bike with unlearned service center guys.
I bought it from navadurga bajaj, bhubaneswar. If you want service don’t go for this service center
After 8000 kms, nearly satisfied by this bike.decent pick up. After servicing bike goes smoothly even at 70 KMPH. Good pick up.
But one problem : When riding with pillion driver the silencer pipe under engine strikes with speed breakers. Lets see what the bajaj servicemen doing about this. But still I am recommending this bike compared to passion pro.
