Decent Bike

Having firmly decided on buying the Pulsar, we (my dad and me) went to the nearest Bajaj showroom. I looked at all the colours available and had been pre-determined on treating myself with shining red. But then, an acquaintance at the showroom advised us to have a look at the discover. Discover being a newly launched bike at that point of time, I was apprehensive about its overall quality.

I test-rode both, the pulsar and then the discover. My major criteria for buying the pulsar was its performance and its looks and its DTsI technology, with no other bike in its class offering it. Then I rode the discover 125, and to my shock and amazement, it was powerful, smooth, and , good looking too. Besides it was 10 grand less pricey then the pulsar.

Thats when I realized that all those pre-concieved notions about the discover were all useless. Discover was and still is a fantastic bike.

It’s a decent performer, very good on the highways, unbeatable in the city with that Exhau-tec technology actually making it pulling in higher gear a piece of cake, so that you dont have to slot into a lower gear to pull ahead.

But, there are a few gripes here too. The chain keeps working itself loose every few days, so it becomes irritating to hear that chain bang against its external cover whenever the bike goes over a bump or a bad patch of road. The suspension also tends to bottom out whenever riding pillion.

Well, thats all I have to say right now. Hope this review was useful!!
