I got my new disco 100 on dec 13th 2010. Except the less pick up, there is virtually zero-defect in this bike. As on today i.e 19th feb 2011, odo is showing 2007 kms. This bike needs more maintenance than the other brands. For example, chain needs to be tightened after every 300 kms.
Mileage: I am getting an astonishing 78-80 kmpl in city and 100 kmpl on highway. Indisputably, Disco 100 is the most fuel efficient bike in india.
Lighting: Disco 100 has powerful lighting which produces good beam to travel safely in the night. No other entry level bike in india has such good lighting.
Suspension: The advanced nitro gas shocks never let me know what is happening between road and tyres. The best suspension suitable for indian roads is there on Discover 100.
Performance: Well obviously this bike is for mileage mongers, thanks to the petroleum pricing policy of the government. This bike should not come under performance heading. Disco 100 obviously is the india’s least performing bike in terms of pick up. Some times we compulsorily need to overtake on highways/cityroads depending upon the situation, but this is not possible on disco 100. All bikers come across an experience some times where speedy overtaking/pick up saves life/prevents a possible accident or collision. Some times speed saves life and some times slow saves life depending on the traffic situation. Disco 100 never allows to overtake easily even in emergency. This is due to the underpowered 94cc engine. Discover 100 is the obly bike in India to take longest time to move from 0 - 60 kmph
Stability: Stability at high speeds is good, but iam feeling more stable at high speed with pillion.
