This is my first review on Mouthshut. So please excuse me for any errors that you might find in my review.
I took this bike after reading like a million articles and reviews. I wont go into the bike specifications and such in detail. You can get these in the Bajaj website. I took this bike considering all the options available in it at a reasonable price(~Rs49, 000 in Bangalore). I took this bike on March 4th 2010 and its around 3 months and 450Kms on the bike. I usually travel only around 10 Kms max per day which is not much I suppose. The roads are pretty rough and the traffic is pretty high. So most of this 10Kms is run on low gears. Probably this is the reason I am getting a low milleage of 50Km/Litre as against the 80-100 Kms/L as publicised by Bajaj. I guess the experts can comment on this.
I finished my first service and the mileage is still 50. I would really appreciate if some of you could advice me as to what I should do to increase it (if it is possible that is. I try to do the best possible to maintain it such as
1.Kick start after a long idle time
2.Maintained below 40Kmph speed till first service etc etc.
Another problem I noticed in the bike is the Gearbox. It makes a lot of noise while shifting gears. Well, I guess this might be a problem with all Bajaj Bikes. I have noticed the same in Pulsars and 125cc Discover as well. I guess the experts can fill in here as well.
All said and done..except for the milleage and the gearbox sound , I would rate the bike as GOOD. Its certainly a good competitor for HH Splendour and Passion with features like press start , Led lamps and stuffs at a reasonable price.
The pickup is also pretty good considering it is only a 100CC bike and the handling and shock absorbers arent bad either.
I guess Ill wrap up and hope to get some comments then ;-)
