I have purchased Discover 112 cc bike last year.As initially I was interested in TVS starcity and Herohonda cd - deluxe.But one of my best friend forced me to purchase discover 112 cc bike, and at presently I am satisfied with its performance.
TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS:
ENGINE: The engine of discover 112 cc bike is not so good as herohondabikes have. The long life of the bajaj discover 112’s engine only depend upon how you ride the bike.For good result, my suggestion is to not drive the new bike above 45 km/h in its first 1000 km journey.This is my experience and I am satisfied with its performance and working of engine.
MILEAGE: It delivers better mileage than its big brother discover dtsi 125 cc.The company claims that it gives 101+km/l mileage which is totally false.It gives 65-70 km/l in the city roads, 75+ in highways and during rush time it gives a mileage of 40-45 km/l.Overall mileage is better than other bikes in this segment.
SUSPENSION: It is equipped with s-n-s suspention which provides you abetter comfort.
HANDLING: It is a good well balanced bike, its handling is as good as herohonda bikes have.
POWER: A 112 cc EXHAUCT TEC engine easily takes up two medium built persons at the speed of 70+ km/h within 10-15 sec.It is the only bike which delivers u a good power with a better mileage.
STYLING: This is the one of the best styling from bajaj its alloy wheel, monsterous headlamp, red glowing tail lamp, interactive oil guage with back light, mufflor( a kind of mudguard just above the rear tyre) and stylish fuel tank are succeeded to give it a sporty look.
OTHERS: It is a moderate weight bike, about 117 kg in weight.Fuel tank capacity of this bike is 10 litres and wheel size is 17".
CONCLUSION: It performs better when we drive this bike with some patience in its first 1000 km journey. If you do not have patience, I adviced you to buy honda and herohonda bikes.
DRAWBACKS: Low resale price is the major drawback of bajaj bikes.The ride is not smooth below 40 km/h.In winter starting problem may be arises.Fuel gauage problem may be arises after some times.Engine is not silent till 3rd gear, after 3rd gear engine runs silenlty and smoothly.
SOME GENERAL ADVICE: Never buy accessory items and never done teflon coating from the showroom for this only they can charge Rs 1000 to Rs2500, This are easily available in the market in between Rs 250 to Rs700.It will help you to reduce the gross price of the bike.
