I purchased the bike about a year ago, I wanted a 100cc economic bike.At the time I was looking at the hero splendor, tvs star city, honda dream yuga and the bajaj 100mI felt the splendor was priced a lot for basic features and the dream yuga had high service costs.
Between the star city and the 100m I felt that the 4 valve 2 dtsi engine that offered a much higher power and torque output was better worth the money. Also dc headlamps, paper air filter, element oil filter, nitrox shock absorbers and amazing looks were a good incentive as well. Before the first service the milleage was about 60 kmpl which I thought was excellent, the bike is extremely smooth.
There was a problem with engine heating initially but that resolved after about 1000km when break in was complete. After the first service I got a mileage of 78 kmpl. I opted for shell advance ax7 oil instead of the bajaj dtsi oil. The bike was smoother and better cold starts.
You have to be careful at the service station, they love to add expenses. Ask them what the expenses are for and make sure you need it.It has good power for overtaking, small turn radius for weaving through traffic.
The cons are: During long rides the seat seems a little uncomfortable. The bike vibrates at 55+ kmph although I dont often reach those speeds. After a year the average mileage is 72-74kmpl but just note I drive at speeds below 40kmph so higher speeds would reduce mileage.
