My honest review on Discover 125 st. One year completed, covered 12000 km, no such problem.
Although I love my bike, but honestly its not the best.
Pros:
1) Looks good.
2) Mileage is not bad, as I m getting 55-65 kmpl.
3) Disk works good(although not best).
4) Very Stable at 100 kmph.
5) Comfort at long rides.
6) Pick up is satisfactory.
Cons:
1)The bike has little vibrations at 55kmph, so its not very smooth.
2)Sound is bad, piratical Bajaj sound, silencer could have been better to have a bold sound.
3) Rear tires are very thin(although its good for mileage).
4) No rpm meter, (but it calls itself a sport bike?).
5) No engine kill switch, u have to turn the key off, (its very stupid thing from Bajaj).
5) Weak battery.
6) Handle bars could have been better.
7) Tortell will rotate 180 degree, which is not expected in sports bike(st).
8) Fuel meter shows full with 3 liters of petrol(I know its the prob with lots of bike, not only "st").
9) It is 12.9 BHP, then why only 100 kmph speed? When 9 BHP bikes can have 120 kmph like Glamor? Its very strange, and disappointing issue.(Remember, its not the cc but the horse power that delivers the power and speed).
10) The head light design is very good, but its small in size. U will feel u r riding a small bike.
11) Open chain, regular maintenance required.
I am loving the bike only because of its good mileage, and some what looks too. But we could expect a few more with a sum of Rs.65000.00
I am not expecting features like rR15 or CBR 250, but basically it should be smooth, and a little more top speed, as its 12.9 BHP bike.
Lastly, dude, if u have purchased this bike, u r not fooled, or cheated. Its good bike if u can maintain it, as I did.
1) Pl change mobile at every 4000 km(not 12000 km, as its says, remember its Indian road).
2) Pl change air filter every after 8000 km(if u drive at dusty road then more frequently).
3) Pl make sure air pressure should be rear 32, front 28. not less than that, for good mileage and pick up. Also its prevent frequent licks.
4) Teflon coating is a must to protect the paint.
Spend a little now, to save a lot in future.
Thanks for reading guys.
