I am here again with my review on Bajaj Discover 150. This is my first review for any automobile product so please forgive me for any error. I own a bike of bajaj XCD125 for two years now I was looking a bike for my daily usage which is approx. 60 KM per day so I wanted a bike with more power than my present bike but I could not compromise too much for mileage so I ended my search to Bajaj Discover 150. And now after driving it 700+ KM I m going to share my experience. Ok let’s start exploring my new discover 150. I will explain about everything under various(imp) headings which is important to see what is inside this machine and why should buy this or not
Looks:-** I shall give 8 out of 10 for its look. I wanted to give it more but could not because now a day’s many bikes are available with stunning look and design. This bike is a average bike with standard looks. If you look it you will not feel that it is a 150 cc segment bike and it looks like a standard 100 or 125 cc segment simple bike. So guys if you are looking for a sporty bike please avoid it. Its fuel tank is too small only 8 ltr.
Specification:-** I shall not say much cause you can find these information on various sites, yet I would like to say about its torque and power which is respectively if you compare this bike you will find that bajaj’s pulsar 135 have more power than this machine. But this bike is made for Mileage so you will have to compromise on power. Overall its performance for city ride or long highways drive vehicle delivers satisfactory performance and you will not feel any vibration or noise problem in high speeds up to 90-100 km/h
Reliability:-** For reliability it is too early to say because I have drive it only 750 km so I can’t much say but I own a 2 yrs old Bajaj’s XCD 125 and this vehicle never gave me any trouble I had not spend even a single penny for this vehicle other than routine service and few other people in my office who own bajaj’s new and old model say that Bajaj’s product are reliable and spares are not costly.
Handling & Comfort:-** Handling of this vehicle is very easy because bajaj’s engineer’s have done a good job in designing this bike. Handling of this vehicle is not very demanding I am talking about maintenance and if I talk about handling in driving condition it is very good. Front disc brake is very effective to stop immediately and vehicle does not pull aside or skid. I liked it very much. This vehicle is designed very carefully so you will find this bike very comfortable in different situations e.g. Gear Shifting, City Riding and long riding. I have done a long drive of 100 K.M. in a day and didn’t feel any problem. Although whenever I drive splendor or glamour for more than 50 KM I always feel back pain.
Fuel Consumption:-** As I earlier said that this vehicle is a good combination of Power+ Mileage so Mileage of this vehicle which I am getting in city condition is 45 – 50 KM/L and on highways it delivers 50-58 KM/L before first service and at present I do not drive more than 60 KM/H only once while overtaking I crossed the 100 marks on my speedometer. Yet Power and pickup of this machine could be better.
Some Interesting Facts:-** Some very small but really important changes which has bajaj done in their vehicles The headlights of this vehicle is attached with battery so you are not to worry for throttle because headlights does not dim or glare with throttle response it glows in a steady manner. This is very useful while driving in slow speed due to bad roads, traffic or speed breakers. Second thing is the disc brake of this vehicle is very effective and stops the vehicle at the moment when you want to stop it. And one more very good thing that the handle of this vehicle has a little bit extension so that in heavy traffic your hands are not wounded by the others
Conclusion:-** I can say much about it after one or two servicing so please be with me here and I recommend this bike for the persons who want power but not for pace making and a bike with a standard look, good mileage and low maintenance just go for it.
