Review: Bajaj should have just stuck to making their normal budget and economical bikes like the Pulsar series. They took a bad move by introducing a performance bike at a very affordable price. People would argue that Bajaj is providing a 400cc bike at a very less price when compared to other performance bikes, hence making it much more affordable, but there is a reason such bikes are priced higher and that is because they have the specs and calliber which the Dominar 400 lacks. Even though it is a 400cc engine, it doesnt have the performance or acceleration that other bikes at the same price range have, and they include bikes like the KTM Duke 200 & 250, which have a more smoother engine which breezes past while driving. Another big problem about the Dominar 400 is the turning radius, it probably has the worst turning radius in the market, a Bajaj chetak has a better turning radius than this one. When it comes to taking a U turn, you really have to struggle while turning it and at times tou you might even have to make a 2 point turn if the place is too tight. Coming to the handling of the bike, it is very difficult in going in between vehicles and cutting lanes, and most importantly, it is even tough to maintain balance as well while easing your way through traffic, and that has to do with its huge size and weight. Yes all performance bikes are supposed to be like that, and thats why they are priced higher because they are not meant for city driving conditions, and since Bajaj has provided a very reasonable tag to the bike, everyone is buying it and facing problems while driving it and trying to maintain it.
