I recently purchased this iron from Flipkart. I was looking for a dry iron under Rs. 1000 and settled for this one after considering Philips and Orpat. This product had more number of ratings and reviews. The shipping was quite fast from WS Retail Services and packaging was good.
Initial impressions were good but after I started using it, wasn’t performing well. Even after using it a few times, the smell of fumes didn’t go. The manual setting doesn’t work properly. It seems the cotton, silk option is not working. Also, the iron is not getting warmth quickly. Since the temperature control is not working properly, one of my t-shirts got damaged and has left an imprint on the shirt. Sometimes, it gets very warm and sometimes doesn’t! The cord is also very small. The non-stick coated copper plate is of great feature but haven’t felt it well. The auto-cut feature doesn’t work well. The plate quickly loses it’s warmth and always needs to draw electricity. I will look for a refund as it didn’t meet my expectations. The iron is light though and easily portable. I expected it to be lot better as it is of reputed brand.
