I was given this by my parents at my wedding when back in India.
While it takes some time to understand the featuers -how the various blades fit in (we did not ask for a demo), or even about how the processor bowl has to be fit in correctly otherwise the blades wont work. -when you do understand everything correctly, it is a great pleasure to be able to cut down cooking time to almost a third.
Huge amounts of onions, otherwise chopped in 10-15 mins are done in flat 20 seconds (including the time to wash, peel, and cut them in to 4 big chunks).
The best part about the food processor -at least for a working woman like me, is the aata making feature. No need of remembering to remove your rings (which otherwise become messed up with the dough), get your hands dirty --just put aata in to the processor bowl, turn on the motor and slowly pour water down the opening --works really well -takes around 3-4 minutes to get the whole lot ready.
Love it. Only wish there was a fail-proof way to use it here in US (on 110 volts as compared to 220 volts available in India)
