Overall good but Fuel gauge not worthy

I am aware of Bajaj Auto reputation. I was attracted by the ads. and reviews and opted for Platina ES100(comfortec) Bought and had a smooth ride. The Dealers Jai Bajaj automobiles at Chennai are best people.

The design of fuel gauge and float of the tank works disproportionate to its capacity. Normally we do not keep more than 3 litrs of fuel at any time. cost while in the parking shed or were it is likely to get drained. the full tank capacity is 11 lit. 1.5 lit is reserve. when the bike ignition is ON the fuel gauge indicator should come to "E" empty when the petrol is zero. if you fill 1.5 lit the reserve capacity full then it should show in reserve ie. the red panted are. at 2.75 lit the indicator should show 1/4 tank full. but my bike indicator was dead. It is not so in other model bikes is noteworthy point.

I complained to my dealers- said to be rectified. again I saw it was dead when the bike fuel level above "reserve" again I reported. the dealer’s service manager was very patient and co-operative he took the complaint seriously and proved that these platina model fuel indicators are all alike. He took a new bike poured 3 lit of petrol and the indicator never showed 1/4 tank full. the needle was touching the red area. So the Service Manager was right. Yet for my satisfaction he replaced the float inside the tank. I had to bring back. I reported to Bajajj Customer Service requested them to send a new calibrated and rectified set of dial and float duly tested and call my bike to the show room and replace the set.

I do not know if Bajaj Auto customer care take any CARE. Wait and see

But for that the vehicle is good, Youngsters do not like coz the bike is not for racing but for high to very high mileage.
