The Bajaj Platina Comfortec is a basic no frills motorcycle positioned above the CT100. Targeted at consumers who are looking for a hassle-free commuter motorcycle, the Platina Comfortec was updated with reworked suspension to offer a more comfortable ride.
The highlight of the Platina Comfortec is the extremely frugal engine and the Comfortec suspension. Powering the Platina Comfortec is a 102cc DTS-i engine, which produces 8.1bhp and 8.63Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a four-speed manual gearbox with an all-down pattern. Bajaj claims an efficiency of 96.9kmpl for this motorcycle which makes it one of most fuel efficient motorcycles in the country. The front forks have 28 per cent more travel while the rear springs have 22 per additional travel than the previous suspension setup. It also gets a cushier seat and rubber footpegs to further improve the comfort levels. The frame, exhaust and the grab rails are painted in black, while the engine crank case and wheels get a silver finish. The rest of the design is pretty basic and Bajaj has gone for a very conventional look,
The Platina Comfortec is available in three colurs - red, black and blue. The Platina competes with Honda Dream Neo, TVS Star City Plus, Hero HF-Deluxe and the Suzuki Hayate.
